One of my drinking buddies has a son like this. He lurks in the basement, only crawling up for hot pockets and the occasional hose down.

I am reminded of the time I made a smart ass comment about his sword collection, and he stood up to his full height, declaring proudly, he was the greatest swordsman in our county.

This is a title he was willing to defend, he assured me in no uncertain terms. I think I genuinely hurt his feelings... and that in turn made me somewhat nauseous.
