I think this is so much better than the original ending, but what do I know

bakune young - 2006-05-10

That was awesome. What the hell was the original ending?

fluffy - 2010-09-20

In a major ass-pull, Seymour electrocutes Audrey II, and Audrey and Seymour move out to the suburbs for a happy life 'somewhere that's green.' There are little Audrey II buds in their garden, DUNN DUNN DUNNNN.

Stopheles - 2006-05-10

FANTASTIC ending. I wish I could have seen this in the theater (or even on the DVD)...

Caminante - 2006-05-10

I honestly can't put into words how goddamned great this is.

Mike Tyson?! - 2006-05-10

The end!?

Corman's Inferno - 2006-05-10

Whoever made Frank Oz replace this ending should be shot.

Zombie Moseley - 2006-05-10

A weak plot ending for Seymore, especially with 15 minutes to go, but at least an awesome 15 minutes

Zhou Fang - 2006-05-10

"They came here to eat Cleveland!" Awesome.

TV's Bialy - 2006-05-17

That ending would have made the movie scarier when I was little, and thus more awesome.

Namor - 2006-05-31

Cool monster attack, but doesnt fit *at all* with the other 90 minutes of the movie.

fluffy - 2006-06-10

This was actually how the broadway musical ended before they turned it into a movie.

bopeton - 2006-06-17

I would have been suspicious when I saw it could reach the water itself. Also, 11 shot revolver.

TheSnake - 2006-06-19

Awesome, but kind of a downer. I can kind of see why they changed the ending

Mayberry Pancakes - 2006-06-21

This was the ending I saw on Broadway.

DrVital - 2007-04-29

This was on the Laserdisc. Then they wimped out on the DVD

Camonk - 2007-05-27

That plant puppet was awesome as hell. Also: not the statue of liberty!

Jeriko-1 - 2007-06-20

NEVAR FORGET!

Jeriko-1 - 2007-06-20

This ending was great! It turns the entire play/film into a backstory for a 'monsters attack' movie you will never see. Thats what its all leading up to. Why you've been along for the ride and what the 50's kitsch was marching towards.

Changing the ending ruins the point. You wanna see a depressing ending? Catch the original!

Dummy Rum - 2007-09-21

Does the plant sound like a soul brotha to anyone else?

revdrew - 2007-11-25

Very cool, but sometimes the sadder ending isn't always the better ending. See also 28 Days Later. (I'm probably in the minority on that one.)

Pie Boy - 2008-02-12

The plant is even more terrifying than Oogie Boogie. I didn't think that was possible.

murderbugg - 2008-04-03

Much better

Cleaner82 - 2008-05-07

Wow, spectacular! And so dark, I love it on all counts.

HarveyTibbar - 2008-12-15

I always love it when an author has the balls to say 'your expectations of a happy ending? Fuck 'em.'
