Looks like someone got together some Korean animators from the 80s and some correspondence school 3D graphics students from the early 90s and put them into a room with no food or water for 3 weeks and this is the result. One star for this still being better than the live action D&D movie.

EvilHomer - 2007-11-28

THAT ADDS UP TO FIVE STARS, JERK.

The YT comments are truly a wonder to behold. Is NOTHING good enough for you people? God.

halon - 2007-11-28

I don't know if you quite understand the purpose of this website, tenten.

-1 star because it doesn't look as gloriously awful as the live action movie.

Why does Toonz use a flying poop as their mascot? I know there is an obvious joke to make about that, but I want to know if there is a serious answer.

It even had little flies buzzing around it.

read_a_tv - 2007-11-28

The D&D cartoon from the 80's looked like it had more fluidity to it. What's the budget, Ramen and d20's?

Hooper_X - 2007-11-28

You mean this WASN'T made by a bunch of fanboys as a "labor of love?"

(also: LUCY LAWLESS! WOW!)

Dr Dim - 2007-11-28

Screw you guys, wings are hard, OK?

Quad9Damage - 2007-11-28

The book was confusing and unreadable. This looks confusing and, at the very least, bad for your eyes.

IMDB says it's a direct-to-video movie:

Blackbetta - 2008-02-04

I dunno. I kind of liked the book when I was 15 and huffing glue.

kthorjensen - 2007-11-28

Alitheia is so psyched for this.

zatojones - 2007-11-28

The flaw is not in the animation. The flaw is the concept of Dragonlance itself

Rudy - 2007-11-28

Damn it, I was just now getting over Sturm's death!

Thanks for opening old wounds, Paramount!

Goofy Gorilla - 2007-11-28

Looks like the appropriate treatment for the material.

AgentOrange - 2007-11-28

I had to google Michael Rosenbaum, no wonder Lucy Lawless gets top billing.

spoiler alert!
He's Lex Luthor from Smallville. A show that's still running, so he must loooooove Dargonlance to do this.

garcet71283 - 2007-11-28

Smallville is still running?

The fact that the movie is Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight disturbs me. This means they want to make sequels....

CuteLucca - 2007-11-28

I admit it... I grew up on Dragonlance and it still holds a special place in the dark corners of my nerd soul.

This, however, looks awful. WHY do people combine CG and traditional animation? Did they send a time machine out to snag a few dozen early 90's animators?

Bah, at least there's no Wayans involved.

Pacobird - 2007-11-30

draganz

Camonk - 2008-11-08

I'd have been all OVER this when I was in sixth grade. Sixth grade me had really low standards. I hate that kid.
