Caminante Nocturno - 2007-10-28

This movie has the most flaccid burning bush I've ever seen in a bible story, animated or otherwise.

StanleyPain - 2007-10-28

Did these people forget about Prince of Egypt or what? Looks like nearly a scene-for-scene remake in some parts.

Jeff Fries - 2007-10-28

The whale/dolphins in silhouette is a direct lift.

11. Thou shalt not assume 3D graphics make a superior animated film.
12. Thou shalt not attempt a theatrical feature using consumer level software.

Xenocide - 2007-10-28

I like how "AN ORDINARY MAN!" is immediately followed by someone mentioning that he was a Prince.

dorje - 2007-10-28

He is also a "stranger in a strange land". Oh my.

zatojones - 2007-10-29

Robert Heinlein didn't pull that phrase out of his ass you know. Exodus 2:22

Blaise - 2007-10-28

+5 for any children's film which features plagues.

boner - 2007-10-28

I miss the old days when churches would fund movies like Plan 9 From Outer Space.

dead_cat - 2007-10-28

Which church was that?

Jeff Fries - 2007-10-29

Baptist

Unmerciful Crushing Force - 2007-10-28

The guy who posted this on Youtube was a modeler. His comments on it are awesome and genuinely informative on the realities behind crappy movies.

Also: can any confirm/deny that this thing was actually done on 3D movie maker?

blase - 2007-10-28

No -- that was just a euphemism for "primitive-looking".

Adramelech - 2007-10-28

Haha oh yeah baby, literal burning bush and horrific 3D animation. I'm sure this will make a shitload of money on the Christian festival circuit.

I wonder how long it will be before we have a theatrical release done entirely in Flash.

Fingasmcgee - 2007-10-28

Whoa Ben Kingsley must be going low rent, and I usually hate Disney but they could sue for stealing that Ocean splitting scene, the animation in this is also worse than Hoodwinked, which btw wasn't as bad as it looked

Xenocide - 2007-10-29

Disney didn't make Prince of Egypt or Ten Commandments, and even if they did, you'd have a hell of a time suing over a biblical adaption.

poopskin - 2007-10-29

ON TO THE PROMISED LAND!

(yaay!)

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2007-10-29

God sounds like William Hurt.

zatojones - 2007-10-29

This would have been way better if it had been made by the guy who did Zoo Race

IrishWhiskey - 2011-07-18

The entire ad is now plastered over by a pop-up explaining his life story, then begging people to be part of the pyramid scheme he's trying to make money from. So.... stars for that I guess.
