I notice nothing from this album is on their greatest hits. I must say I'm proud to own an original Arista vinyl and CD of this.

Jourgensen has been pretty honest that they figured they'd make more money faster if they sounded like your average British synthpop band.

Gunny McRifleson - 2008-11-13

You should be proud. A song like this is much better written than Supermanic Soul.

Jimmy Labatt - 2007-09-08

Point to Stopheles. Well played, sir.

Jimmy Labatt - 2007-09-08

However, you are still OUT OF LINE. Ministry erases all of this (well, I hope it does soon anyway).

Stopheles - 2007-09-08

I dunno, they haven't released a really amazing album since 92 or so (though I guess Houses was okay)...88-92 was really great, but bookended by mediocre false starts at the start and half-baked rehashes on the backend.

And I'm a Ministry fan, btw.

Azraelazitgetz - 2008-02-19

You think Twitch was mediocre...O.o....

Ersatz - 2007-09-08

AH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahaha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Ha ha ha.
Betcha ol' Buck Satan / Hypo Luxa wishes he used a pseudonym for these songs.

Stopheles - 2007-09-08

There's live footage from before the album came out that shows Ministry sounding pretty much exactly like they did on "With Sympathy," which shows that it wasn't even the producer, let alone the label execs, who made those songs sound that way.

Not that evidence is really that necessary, anyway, Occam's Razor being what it is...

OldScratch - 2007-09-09

I agree. I also wonder why Al Jourgensen continues to be so defensive, when scientists have found that there is a substantial genetic basis for this sort of behaviour. He can stop blaming his overbearing mother, record execs, or our liberal, Godless society. We aren't here to judge his 'lifestyle', any more than we would laugh at his early eighties make-up or his fake British accent. Relax, Al. You aren't fooling anyone.

kingarthur - 2007-09-08

A-GAIN and A-GAIN...fake brit accents are icing on the cake.

coprolalia - 2007-09-08

Thank God for heroin.

Christian Synthare - 2007-09-09

I still love this song.

love - 2007-09-09

it's way better than anything he did after land of rape and honey.

Frank Rizzo - 2007-09-10

wtf? Is this the same ministry that I know and love? Jesus built my hotrod, thieves etc etc...

oh no............ im going to go kill myself now.

Stopheles - 2007-09-10

Yeah, well, this was before Al recognized that he could be the guy to go (relatively) mainstream with Killing Joke and Big Black's sounds.

Any video that makes Frank Rizzo consider suicide shouldn't fall below a solid 5, amirite folks?

mouser - 2009-11-16

That even precedes his contribution to Skinny Puppy.

So cEven Key probably cured him somehow.

Dumb Lamer - 2012-03-22

I came to watch this after seeing 99 Percenters. I'd prefer another album of this if the rest of Relapse is that lousy.
