The whole movie is like this. It's an excellent movie and the best and most accurate review I read of it proclaimed it "the Citizen Kane of dick jokes."

One of the reasons I love 'Superbad' so damn much is that any random bit of it reminds me of growing up in some aspect. As for this scene, most of the textbooks I was issued in school had been owned by a dick artist at one time or another, though none of them were nearly as detailed or creative.

I always drew fart clouds coming out of people's butts.

I used to draw what started out as farts but then turned into mushroom clouds coming out of people's butts, then I'd draw buildings, vehicles, and other things in various states of destruction from the blast of the fart.

There was a kid who sat next to me in one of my drawing classes who would manage to incorporate dicks into whatever the assignment was, every single time. It was pretty disturbing.

I always drew faces on inanimate objects.

My favorite was a science textbook, someone had put funny captions and dick jokes in all the pictures, then wrote a "choose your own" adventure on the page bottoms where you had to put put out a fire on page 100 by sucking various drawn-in dicks throughout the book. I should have kept it, but just added to it and passed it on.

I drew heavy metal bands and swords. Looking back I see it was all a visual menagerie of dick metaphors.

Yes. Yes you do. The timing, pacing, writing... everything is top-notch. There are a lot of dick jokes, but they represent only a small portion of the whole package.

Exactly. Rather than the Ferris Bueller effect of having a 29-year-old play Cameron (which, don't get me wrong, was hysterical, but in a much different way), you put actual funny high-schoolers in these roles and this is what you get. Really fucking brilliant movie.

i used to draw boobies. mainly, i would draw people with bosoms on the outsides of their shirts. one time, in school, i drew a ship with a single boob for each window. the teacher didn't notice and it was up on the wall for a very long time.

AND THEN BAM! ROBO-DICK! GORILLA WITH A BANANA DICK!! TIANANMEN DICK!! SLIM DICKINS!!

Then "THE BEST KINDS," and I died.

The best friend I've ever had in my life, who I grew up with since daycare and diapers, has already repeatedly (upwards of maybe six-dozen-times type repeatedly) told me that this is the funniest movie he has ever watched. Every time I'd ask him if it was just another goofy stoner movie like so many of the other good comedies we both enjoy, and he'd empatically tell me that it was better than all the best comedies of the past few years wrapped around each other like a giant rubberband ball of funny.

I now know he was right, and I must put on my socks and shoes and visit the video store before 9PM.
