I think most people probably saw it in the hopper or something. It's one of Sesame Street's best songs damn it.

Hmm... I've been watching a lot of classic SESAME STREET clips lately so I saw this one in my "recommended videos" sidebar in Youtube and it seemed familiar, so I clicked on it, and remembered watching it as soon as it got to "It is I, Captain Vegetable, with my carrots and my celery".

Checked to see if it was submitted before, and, yep, it was.

Captain Vegetable was performed by Jim Henson, as seen here, but, later on, he was played by Richard Hunt, and over 2 decades later, in 2008, John Leguizamo revived the role in live-action: http://youtu.be/ny8nvM_pl1g
