from YOUTUBE:

It's a REALLY long story, but basically like 7 years ago I got this blackhead that no matter how many times or how long I popped it, puss would come out. After several months I was at my parents house and decided to try and get rid of it once and for all. My mom is a neonatal intensive care nurse, she works with preemies, and she had some tiny syringes for tiny babies in her bathroom. So... I have this thought in my head that if I stick this syringe in my face, it will drain all the puss out for good.

I stick the needle in my face and nothing happens, but a few weeks later I develop this cyst in my face. I guess a lump of scar tissue formed from the "puncture wound."

So like 3 years pass and I finally go to a doctor cause it keeps getting bigger. The dermatologist says I can have it cut out for 0, and whatever I do "DON'T touch it or try to pop it."

A couple more years pass and my mom keeps bugging me to get it removed, cause I have been messing with it and it's even bigger. It went from a little hard lump in my face to something people start asking me about at cocktail parties. So I make an appointment to have the surgery, but 2 weeks before the surgery I decide to try and get rid of it myself. One night I just start popping it and popping it. I had my friend Katie videotape part of the process. This is all she got before she literally ran out of the room and started to puke from how gross it was.

It ended up getting infected, and my stepdad, who's a doctor, gave me the leftover antibiotics from the dog, cause I don't have any health insurance. They didn't really help and a few days later my face got TOTALLY infected. I could barely open my right eye cause it was so swollen and the muscles in the right side of my face wouldn't work. I ended up with a REALLY bad staph infection, and had to be put on the strongest antibiotics you can get without going to the hospital and getting an IV.

I was told that the core of the cyst was still in my face and would keep coming back, so I had the surgery and got it taken out. It was pretty awful. The doctor had to make an incision in my cheek and SCRAPE out the core of the cyst. I was awake for the procedure and started to go blue and pass out twice in the doctors chair. He had some medical student in there watching the whole thing. I think even he was a little freaked out.

I'm better now but it was a wild ride, and now I have a dimple on the right side of my face whenever I smile.

Check out the video of me popping the cyst and my friend Katie almost barfing. I'll warn you... it's pretty gross. You honestly may get queezy watching it.

Stories like yours need to be on TV every night as proof we need goddamn universal health care.

Dog antibiotics. Jesus.

Smellvin - 2007-08-25

Nowhere near as pus-y as the spider bite one posted a few days ago. I learned about cysts from the description, though!

Ah, this one. If you're into this kind of thing, check out popthatzit.com. It's kind of like the ogrish for acne.

I never watch these and don't understand why so many people vote them up. What is wrong with you people?

Pike - 2007-08-25

I suppose some people must simply like to be disgusted.

KnowFuture - 2007-08-25

You watched *this* one.
Did the title or still shot from it mislead you somehow?

Repomancer - 2007-08-25

It might be possible to shake the camera more, but it wouldn't be easy.

takewithfood - 2007-08-25

Yeah, the video is nasty, but the story is worth 5 stars alone.

Maxville - 2007-08-25

Not bad, the spider bite video was still much worse.
