Heck, just go to http://www.youtube.com/user/gunecologist; the guy's done almost 40 different pieces.

For a minute I thought he was doing it with his mouth but now... I really think he's hand-farting.
|
stickynote - 2007-07-27

Daughters of Uzbek - 2007-07-27
That stoic expression completely makes this.
|
Repomancer - 2007-07-27
Pure, distilled greatness.
|
Angel Carver - 2007-07-27
Real talent handfarts for itself.
|
kingarthur - 2007-07-27
High note made me spit-take.
|
fourthguy - 2007-07-27 If you think that was amazing, you should see the one where he does The Trooper. No, seriously.
|
Hooper_X - 2007-07-27
I love how satisfied with himself he is. Just look at him. He knows he has a singular and unique mastery of the form.
|
KnowFuture - 2007-07-27
Maybe his hand-farting gets lost in the vocal part of the CD/tape/whatever but I swear it sounds like he actually gets his handfarts to sing the words "take on me" at one point....and even in the likely chance that that doesn't happen, MAN this is good stuff.
...can't even get my own worthless hands to fart out more than one note and then, only for like, one second...

This particular talent is called Manualism, and it has a rich and variegated history.

Five stars because my wife and I danced to this at our wedding.
We'd have invited him if we'd known.
|
glasseye - 2007-07-28
Impressive.
|
tamago - 2007-07-28
I was skeptical that this would be amazing, but boy was I wrong.
|
athodyd - 2007-07-28
That's a nice watch.
|
NoCode - 2007-07-28
I love his satisfied smirk at the end. That's the delightful cherry on top of this cake.
|
Rodents of Unusual Size - 2007-07-29
It's not so much that he is good, so much as he loves what he does. It's about pride.

I quit the Internet now. I can never be this cool.
|
Gojira1000 - 2007-07-30
Run over to his main site. He's just posted G-n-R's Sweet Child Of Mine. The final guitar solo bit is insane. This man is a saint among us.
|
dr_rock - 2007-08-02
He wears a wrist mic like pop stars wear headmount mics. Plus he looks like someone's uncle.
|
phalsebob - 2007-09-14
It's... beautiful.
a tear... on my cheek.
|
happysad - 2007-10-12
Cool talent, but it must have hurt his standing among the rest of the wiseguys.
|
j lzrd / swift idiot - 2008-09-16 I knew I wasn't the only one with this nagging itch. He just screams "good earner" to me. Like this is the hobby he has on the side where he can just leave the world behind, and handfart some songs for a half hour.

|
gambol - 2007-11-20
I almost want to deduct a star because the guy knows he's fucking sweet. Almost...
|
sparklefatty - 2007-12-01
He's holds the chair of the handfart department at Julliard.
|
Man Who Fights Like Woman - 2008-12-24
Whatever I say won't be as cool as this.

Bort - 2012-09-02
The "flight of the bumblebee" part at 2:00 is the most amazing part of this. He's making the note of his choosing as he presses his hands together -- that's the relatively easy part of this -- but then he's also getting the desired note out as he pulls his hands apart. Even a simpleton like me can do the former tolerably well, but the latter can only be explained by witchcraft.
