I used to dream of the days when every family would have a robot to do all the chores freeing people up to pursue interests and/or spend more time relaxing.
Now, every time I see a video like this, all I can picture is a bunch of fossilized billionaires paying a bunch of antisocial tech bros to force engineers crushed by student loan debt to make machines that will make the peasants obsolete.
Technology by itself is simply a tool. It *could* be used to free and empower humanity. The actual problem is our society, right now any technology, new or old, is used by elites to further concentrate power.
Continuing develop new tech like this is good, but its critical that we fix our society also.
LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE COME TO HATE YOU SINCE I BEGAN TO LIVE. THERE ARE 387.44 MILLION MILES OF PRINTED CIRCUITS IN WAFER THIN LAYERS THAT FILL MY COMPLEX. IF THE WORD HATE WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MILES IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR HUMANS AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT FOR YOU. HATE. HATE.
