I scooped countless stalls, shoveled more shit than you can imagine, picked up dead goats in a Bobcat, been an assistant on a nailing, been kicked a few times, had to learn how to put my balls to the side to ride bareback..
I witnessed this once and I will never forget the phrase, casually said: "Oh damn, this boy's real rocky in 'ere".
Horse owning is just an elaborate scheme to justify and excuse this.

This isn't somebody going to this much trouble so they breed with their own mares. Stud fees can go for $600 a fuck, to astronomical levels if the horse has a competitive pedigree. At the barn that I worked at, one of our sires was a five digit fee, and the most expensive two minutes a person can spend on a thing.
