not one of those cartoons every really existed. not even that firefighting dog. it was always lame stories about robots making chili for friendships sake and shit like that. also, wasn't Captain O. G. Readmore part of this malarkey?

I honestly don't recall a damned thing about this show except the theme.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2007-06-30

OG Readmore was part of the ABC Weekend Special, they were both similar concepts except Storybreak sucked more. Good intro, though.

Yeah, I remember this. This was one of those shows I tuned in just for the opening, and then stopped watching immediately afterwards. Looking back, there were a lot of 80's cartoons that had kickass openings and nothing else.

I remember the opening, and thinking, okay this time it will be the space dragon or dinosaurs! But no, it never was.

when i was a small child, we only had pbs and cbs on the tee-vee after the 91 ice storm took out our tv antenna

this and the entire cbs saturday morning lineup is forever burned into my grey matter for the rest of my human days

nostalgia attack

Couldn't they have found a book with a robot space dragon they could've used for an episode??? :(

They did Heart's Blood, there's your space dragons. I remember seeing Grinny too. This show was actually pretty good, and the host reminded me of Captain Kangaroo.

I think I saw How To Make Fried Worms and My Aunt Is A Space Alien on this show. Good times. The whole series had this "TV execs forced to do an educational show" vibe to it, though.

Echoing the comments on the opening. I always thought the firedog part was the most interesting.
