You could just plant a couple of audio devices, one to play a recording of someone shouting, "SHOOTER!" and another to make gin firing sounds.
Enough open carry assholes would whip out their guns and start shooting at someone they THINK is the shooter then get shot by others who think THEY'RE the shooters to wipe out a sizeable portion of those present.
