Never picked it up again after the first episode.
Does the show ever evolve beyond a drawn out version of As The Gods Will, padded out with personal drama for characters you don't care about?
There's a ton of recent "Man from the South" style deadly gambling/kids games Asian movies, and Squid felt middle of the pack at best. 3% is also one of the better series.

love - 2021-10-09 started watching it this week, as you say, it is padded as fuck and some events are so telegraphed it's painful but something interesting did start happening with the characters in epsiode 5 (? I think. the one where they work in pairs), so I'm hopeful that it's going in an interesting direction.

exy - 2021-10-09 pretty much everything you assume about the ending from the first episode is pretty much what happens. there are a couple little surprises along the way, but they're not big surprises.
