As an Xennial this is super weird; these were the games I was playing as a kid. I remember getting into a big discussion with my boomer parents about whether or not it was OK for me to play Wolfenstein 3D, because you had to shoot dogs ("it's fine, mom, they're Nazi dogs!).

Especially since boomers were participating in the moral panic around video games (which hit its peak with Doom). These weren't their games, like, at all.
