I mean, they got nothin' on the Netherlands.

Also cities are situated in stupid locations. Most coastal cities, cities built on rivers etc. were situated there 100's or 1000's of years ago because of trade.

but in modern times there no benefit to having all the city stuff right next to a port (and in a lot of cases big city ports have moved somewhere with more room or just become obsolete)

So the current situation is we have all this sprawling residential / office / commercial development in a low lying flood prone area for no reason, and also covering and wasting some of the best potential farmland in the country.
The logical thing to do would be do dismantle existing cities and build new ones in highlands.
