If you wanted to be charitable, you could certainly read this line of questioning as not from a complete idiot on the level of putting light in the body to cure COViD, but instead him thinking he's very drily pointing out that climate change is due entirely to natural cosmic phenomena and so it would be absurd for us to think we could do anything about it. It's still a supremely stupid argument, though, as it posits that there is no possible intervention to be taken between either moving planets or continuing to burn fossil fuels so we go out in a filthy rich blaze of glory. So still the argument of a complete idiot.
