People who turn off the items are dumbasses. That's why I hate Smash tournament players. If you're turning off the items then just play a real fighting game.
Yup. Smash is great, but the serious players are the worst people who somehow make fighting game pros look even worse than they already are.
Like, the game was built as a YOLO screwing around fun time. These people go out of their way to strip out all the fun stuff and turn it into a generic fighting game.
Is there a scene of pro Mario Kart players who turn off items, restrict it to 1v1, yet for some reason just don't go play Gran Turismo?
I find it hilarious that a fighting game based on the movement of Kirby even survived this long. I imagine it attracts the same kind of people who enjoy Pokemon games. It's a bafflingly bad fighting game with the dumbest win condition ever created.
