My supervisor at my old job had a son with CF.

The whole family worked so hard to keep him functioning & feeling well. He was a bright sweet kid and I got to see him make it into adulthood.

Several years ago, he died at the age of 28.

His family was devastated.

If Bezos, Zuckerberg, Gates, et al were to devote even a tiny portion of their vast fortunes to things like this, many more bright promising young people like him would live as long as they're supposed to.
