The worst damage he's done is lowering the bar. His shitty legislation can be reversed given enough time, but nothing can be done about the fact that everyone knows america is up for sale now. That's not exactly new information, but the amount and ease of purchase is going to be unavoidably attractive to any foreign power that might want to influence us. It's hard to say. One big reason why Trump happened was the utter inability of the Republican establishment to produce one candidate who was more appealing than orange-flavored metamucil. The runner-up, you will recall, was Ted Cruz.
