I really loved her video about how edgelords miss the point of Mel Brook's works.

Anyhow I haven't watched this, my stars are for DQL.

I don't know what an edgelord is but this is the first time I've seen her and I really like how well researched this video was. Especially the background of various fairy tales and the origins of the Beauty and the Beast story in printed form.

Edgelords are douchebags who adopt an edgy persona and regularly say offensive things under the guise of "telling truth to power", or somesuch shit. They're kinda annoying.

Anyways, if you liked this video, check out Lindsey's other stuff. Her videos are usually like this; 10-25 minute in-depth videos about whatever her chosen subject is. I believe she majored in film studies, so she usually knows her stuff, even if I don't always agree with her.

Actually, she's pretending to be sexy. She was never bad looking, but her original persona was kind of dour and glum looking, but her more recent videos have really consciously upped the hotness quotient, perfecting the makeup and vamping the camera with her eyes in a way that is so obvious it's almost a joke, but totally works for me.

But even more than that, her videos are really intelligent and interesting film commentary. We've seen an increase in long detailed, well-researched commentary on youtube. it's not just Lindsey, it's Cody Johnston and HBomberGuy.

I think it's patreon. It used to be that in order to make a living on youtube, you had to crank out an improvised video a week about Anitia Sarkeesian.
