The increase in violent crime is directly connected to the baby boomer population. The violent crime rate has decreased every year since 1991. When the baby boomers disappear, we will be back to pre-1960's levels of violent crime.

So it's not the Jews?

Old_Zircon - 2017-10-16

Leaded gas, Chancho.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2017-10-16

It'll be a great day when we are rid of all those 70 year old rapists and gangbangers.

SolRo - 2017-10-16

Hollywood just got rid of one, but unfortunately another one is running the country

You cant sodomize a head. It has no butthole.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2017-10-16

Sodomy is defined as anal or oral copulation. However, it turns out Kemper fucked his Mom's head through the severed neck hole, so I don't know what you'd call that.

Every time I read about Ed Kemper, I find new similarities with Chris-Chan. He’s the dopiest, neediest serial killer.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2017-10-16

I find him sort of likable, and I'm not the only person who has said that... but psychopaths being what they are, that may speak to his need to be liked.

Mindhunter, season 1, new on Netflix, is really good. There's some violence early in the first episode, and late in the final (tenth) episode, but everything else is quite literally all talk, no action. Serial murder is discussed in psychological and occasionally graphic, detail.

Years ago, I read the book Mindhunter by Jack Douglas, the first American criminal profiler, on whom the character of Holden Ford is based. Believe, there's enough material in there to last another 8 or 9 seasons.

The actor who plays Edmund Kemper is named Cameron Britton, and he's my favorite part of the series. Here's his IMDB. He looks like Seth Rogan.

A bit of a bumblebutt.

This looks good. I was getting into Hannibal right around the time NBC decided to cancel it and this seems like its spiritual* successor. Or maybe it's just that "Mindhunter" sounds like "Manhunter" but anyway this looks good.

(*Spiritual meaning that I think fucking a victim's corpse is on a whole 'nother level of fucked up vs. cannibalism, which Hannibal made seem like a slightly glamorous line of work)

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2017-10-16

Jack Douglas, the author of the memoir Mindhunter, is the acknowledged inspiration for the character of Jack Crawford, so that may may make it a predacessor instead of a successor, but either way, there's a shared lineage.

infinite zest - 2017-10-16

No shit? Now I really need to watch it!

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2017-10-16

No shit, except that it's actually John Douglas.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Crawford_(character)

Jack Crawford is a fictional character who appears in the Hannibal Lecter series of books by Thomas Harris, in which Crawford is the Agent-in-Charge of the Behavioral Science Unit of the FBI in Quantico, Virginia. He is modeled after John E. Douglas, who held the same position.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2017-10-16

I read Mindhunter a long time ago, but as I remember it, Douglas, who is now in his seventies, has hunted or interviewed just about every serial killer you can name from the seventies More than anything else, it's the interviews that make the Netflix series so fascinating. One thing I remember clearly from the book is Douglas' surprising view on Charles Manson. He believes that Manson didn't instigate the killings, that he was pushed into it by a family member who was making a play for power within the group. He started the killings, and Manson felt he had to up the ante to maintain authority. He believes that Manson poses no risk to society, and could be paroled, though he knows that Manson's notoriety will make that impossible.
