Still waiting for the movie about the miniature DAT Walkman craze.

Old_Zircon - 2017-07-02

I'd like to see West Side Story but with portable DAT users vs. Minidisc Walkman users.

Old_Zircon - 2017-07-02

Instead of a knife fight they could have a flamewar on Usenet about the merits of durability and portability vs. uncompressed, better-than-CD quality audio.

M-DEEM - 2017-07-02

Booooo. I say Booooo for it

Jeriko-1 - 2017-07-02

Neighsayer!

Cena_mark - 2017-07-02

This is the crowning moment for Bronydom. MLP is making it to the big screen. This isn't a limited Equestria Girls release, this is a real deal wide release of the REAL MLP. This deserves all your stars.

I wish Homer would come back.

cognitivedissonance - 2017-07-02

There already was a My Little Pony movie, but I guess we don't talk about prehistory?

Cena_mark - 2017-07-02

I'm talking about a REAL movie. As in a wide theatrical release. That old shit didn't count.

cognitivedissonance - 2017-07-02

I distinctly recall seeing the original My Little Pony movie at a free Christmas showing, billed with the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie, at Yard Birds Theater in Chehalis, Washington, circa 1987 or so.

Xenocide - 2017-07-02

The Alvin and the Chipmunks movie was a beautiful mess. Bunch of squeaky monster children partying with a bunch of racial stereotypes for 90 minutes. I love it.

poorwill - 2017-07-02

why did homer leave? not that i'm complaining - he was an unlikeable cumstain

cognitivedissonance - 2017-07-03

He was booted for his tirades against... oh, let's say it was Binro the Heretic? Maybe?

poorwill - 2017-07-03

Oh cool, banned. I didn't know Support cared enough to ban fools.

Xenocide - 2017-07-03

It takes an uncommon level of bullshit to earn Support's wrath, but Homer was up to the task.

Simillion - 2017-07-03

this shit looks super boring, targeted at 5 year old babies, i am disappoint. lacks tongue in cheek charm of original show.

poorwill - 2017-07-03

Support didn't even end up banning that nazi guy, right? He left permanently because of the doxxing & telling his mommy threat, right?

Cena_mark - 2017-07-03

Free Christmas showing with Alvin in the Chipmunks is not the big time. This is. BTW, BWAAHAHAHA, you saw the original MLP Movie. That's so lame.

Oscar Wildcat - 2017-07-03

It's POETV's own Rashomon.

A bolt of Support from the Blue, you say??? EvilHomer wasn't banned, he left because his feelings got hurt. Unlike Orcs, who posts here to this day. So much for vigilante justice.

poorwill - 2017-07-04

Orcs still posts? Under a new account? Haven't seen him around.

bawbag - 2017-07-04

Homer left of his own accord shortly after apologizing to Bobonne for being an asshole during one of his ad nauseam devil's advocacy bits.

"N-notice me nazi senpai!" - t. Oscar

💩 💩 💩 💩 💩

Oscar Wildcat - 2017-07-04

More specifically, in this gritty reboot of Rashomon, EvilHomer is the Samurai, Bawbag is the Thief, and POETV itself is the Wife.

Xenocide - 2017-07-02

If this is what it takes to bring back traditional animation, then I'm game. Visually this looks much better than I thought it would.

Not sure we need the parade of b-list celebrities, though. But maybe someone in Market Research figured out that there are a significant number of preteens who will see Taye Diggs' name in this and go "Oh my gosh, it's got the love interest from How Stella Got Her Groove Back, MOM I WANT TO SEE THIS TAKE ME TO SEE THIS."

infinite zest - 2017-07-03

Emily Blunt makes sense, because she's in all the Disney shit, but she's also a pretty good actor, or at least I thought she was, in Girl on the Train and Sicario and pretty OK in Looper. And yeah, I guess Liev gets a nod from the handful of people who subscribed to Showtime before it had Twin Peaks?

dairyqueenlatifah - 2017-07-03

I'm utterly amazed at the quality of the animation.

I'm so desperate for theatrical 2D animation again that I may go.....watch this in a dark corner at home alone when I can get it via Redbox.

infinite zest - 2017-07-03

Back in '99 or 2000 I paid money to see the original Pokemon movie in theatres because I thought it'd mean we'd eventually see more anime theatrically released in the states.

SolRo - 2017-07-03

We are actually getting anime theatrical releases now thanks to you. Mostly very limited releases, but at least it's current stuff.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2017-07-03

I did the same thing infinite zest...for the same reason as you of course! Haaaaa.

Aernaroth2 - 2017-07-03

So is this going to bring a whole new wave of bronies into their fandom and set off a sectarian fandom conflict for the next decade like Transformers?

I hope so.

Cena_mark - 2017-07-03

I don't think so. The fandom survived Equestria Girls.

Seven Arts/H8 Red - 2017-07-04

I initially read that as "sectaurian fandom conflict", then realized the humans in the Equestria Girls world have taken on the characteristics of ponies. Having ponies in that world grow to frightening proportions is something I can see Hasbro doing.

Caminante Nocturno - 2017-07-05

Rarity does not get enough screen time, one star.

Hailey2006 - 2017-07-09

Trying to find the trailer for the 1986 movie with Tony Randall and those kids talking about the film!
