That's unfortunately common. I've known so many people in my lifetime (family members among them) who respond to their own fuck-ups by instantly becoming angry at the person or persons who suffered because of it.
They don't recognise that they fucked up in the first place and are trying to make the mouth noises they think will make other people stop making mouth noises.
