Parodying Trump seems profoundly redundant.

I guess it's good that the Reps are so grossly incompetent that it took them to Oct 8th to figure this out.

He's dangerously incompetent in so many ways that it's hard to know where to start, and the Reps just stared the problem in the face for six months.

I'll pick one: he has no idea how false charges/convictions happen, and he wants to be head of the executive branch.

Also, I'm going to make a list of the states that are still polling red this week, and make sure that I never, ever visit them even once.

The list right now, in order of Trump support:

1. Wyoming
2. West Virginia
3. Idaho
4. Alabama
5. Oklahoma
6. Arkansas
7. Nebraska
8. North Dakota
9. Utah
10. Kentucky

I've been to four of them already. :[

I keep hearing that Utah might flip blue because Mormons hate Trump and actually take the whole "be nice to women" thing seriously. Also Mitt Romney is their king so they can't disagree with him.

Hillary could leverage the GOP's desperation to rebrand itself as Not Trump by getting them to work with her on bipartisan immigration reform framed as the GOP's one chance to pull itself out of the pit Trump helped put them in.

I'm hoping that the democratic party, which is essentially the successor to the Rockefeller Republicans at this point, can shear off enough of the moderates from the GOP to really formalize its proper new position in the center right vacuum, leaving space for the center left to find their own party finally (maybe something a bit like the Green Party but with an actual plan that goes beyond running a symbolic campaign every four years).


Unfortunately that's not going to happen while the GOP has the congressional election system so thoroughly gamed but hopefully we'll make some progress in that direction this cycle and who knows, we might even see a few years of semifunctional government before everything is swept away in the great water wars of the 2030s.
