The answer they deserved, if not the one they needed.

I don't get it. Could somebody explain what's going on? I know almost nothing about basketball, and cannot judge the merits of Mr Prince's response.

EvilHomer - 2016-03-24 The Bulldogs are lower ranked?! How could a plebian college like Baylor be fielding a better sports team than Yale? I mean, I know basketball isn't one of those sports that actually counts for anything, like Crew or Squash or something, but still!
I refuse to believe that Yale would allow itself to be bested by a school from a town best known for its cults.

blue vein steel - 2016-03-24 Ah, my SEC bias made me think you were talking about the Georgia Bulldogs. I assumed Yale's mascot was the Dressage Horses or something like that.

|
EvilHomer - 2016-03-24 No, Yale's mascot is Handsome Dan, an awesome bulldog who shows up on just about everything, from shirts to local buses.
Here's a recent local news report on ol' Dan: https://youtu.be/0HzzfofszNQ

That guy - 2016-03-25 Well, ok but you're all missing the obvious point of the player's sarcasm:
The reporter asked about one of the more hard-to-define and probabilistic elements of the game. It's something of a vague, dumb question, and the answer could come down to pure luck.

The reporter's brain thinking of a response was likely a cespool of racism that thankfully he checked.
