This is a great example of why having a "best anything ever" contest is just stupid, especially on an online forum.

Clearly the best ever video game, hands down!

Cena_mark - 2016-02-18 Don't get me started on The Shawshank Redemption. Oh, you just did... why the fuck is that banal piece of Oscar bait at the number one spot of the IMDB top 250? It was a box office flop, and it wouldn't even be on there if not for TBS and TNT showing the damn thing all the time. If there's a movie with Morgan Freeman that should be on the top of the 250 list, it's The Dark Knight, which is now at #4. We need to organize a massive rating movement to get The Dark Knight to #1. Give Shawshank 1 star ratings, and the Dark Knight 10s. Make multiple IMDB accounts!

infinite zest - 2016-02-19 Yeah attempts have been made for as long as I remember there being an IMDB #250, although it's usually for Godfather. As far as Prison movies go, I actually liked the Eddie Murphy/Martin Lawrence movie Life more than Shawshank.

The result of that poll is serious business.

Is undertale the game that thought Earthbound was nice and all, but what it needed was more Homestuck?

TheGrungle - 2016-02-19 not really. there is like, one moment in the game that is similar to 'earthbound' humor.

I've only heard of Undertale, because of it's big overlap with the Steven Universe fandom. I don't know why some SU fans like it. It just looks like an ol'school style RPG.

This is why no one should ever take politics seriously. Same species. Same issues. Same insults.

I have a strategy for trying not to feel like an old man: Be skeptical of everything, try new things, diversify my interests, and admit to myself that nothing is ever worse than it used to be and any feelings to the contrary are blind nostalgia.
Stuff like this makes me question if my plan is sound. "Communities", as it pertains to the internet, just seems like an extremely kind word for "moronic bores whose personal identities are tied up in inconsequential things like video games, cartoons, and movies".
