Is this the right video? I didn't hear anything about either hentai or furry, just kiddie porn.

sorry, was in a separate article

Blocked behind a paywall for me, but it shows up on my phone.

"Masa watched a lot of sexually explicit Japanese animation known as hentai, the NCIS report said, and he had an intense interest in "furry porn", a genre of pornography in which animal characters with human arms and legs engage in sex."

A few thoughts:

. this guy is a scumfuck.
. I wonder if he has a furaffinity account; does anyone know what his online fursona name was?
. I'd like to imagine that Abby Sciuto was the person investigating his hentai stash and writing up the report about furry porn.

Ah thanks! It still seems a little de trop to me to bring that up, though; it would be like making a big deal that Buffalo Bill liked to dress up like a woman and delve into an investigative report about how that could lead one to want to kill, or in this case, fuck little kids, which is insulting to the respective communities, who don't engage in that stuff anymore than somebody who plays Call of Duty likes to shoot up a school.

EvilHomer - 2016-01-05

According to his Facebook, he was 3381; i.e. a cook. ( https://www.facebook.com/aaron.masa.1 ) No word on his furry art yet.

It's funny you should mention shooting up a school, because later in the article, it mentions that as a teenager he got in trouble for threatening to shoot up his school.

infinite zest - 2016-01-05

Yeah that's why I mentioned it, because of his threat. Being into Furry or Ecchi isn't anything that should be used as an example for child molestation any more than playing violent vidya games causes violent behavior. It's actually statistically proven that every time a new GTA game comes out, the crime rate actually goes down. There's zero connection but I guess news stations want to blame something and can't necessarily put it on the United States Marines, so sure, blame furries and hentai!

kingarthur - 2016-01-05

Correlation not equaling causation goes both ways. The crime rate isn't sinking because GTA comes out.

infinite zest - 2016-01-05

Here's a link to an article,

http://www.spectator.co.uk/2013/12/more-grand-theft-auto-less- crime/

but I know. It's about finding a scapegoat, really. I just don't think it's fair since furries and hentai are still pretty outsider for most americans so they'll connect such fetishes with this guy, whereas most americans have agreed that violent video games are just fun escapism.

I'm gonna just say this: there is a distinct sub genre of the mango that deals specifically with sex with extremely young children, often unwilling participants in what seems to be the artists' adult sex fantasies. They're just as bad as you would imagine, with total escapist rationalizations on the part of the "adult" to recontextualize the child abuse into anything other than what it is. I have often thought of it is something drawn by peds, for peds, and therefore have never really understood any kind of general tolerance of it beyond the fact that it is is drawn fiction as opposed to photographic fact, but it's really hard not to draw a connection between this stuff, if in fact he was reading it, and his actions.
