Many of the people recorded in this are actually trying to sound 'polite' for the camera believe it or not. Scotland has a crazy amount of accent and dialect differences.

I first saw this series while I was abroad and it took me some time to key my ear back in to broad Scots again.

The rest of the series is worth watching too. It's one of the few 'poverty porn' pieces that is genuinely affecting.

There may be a subtitled version out there somewhere but the youtube auto-subs are hilariously wrong whenever it gets to the residents of the scheme talking.
