Hanna-Barbera said they wanted a "live-action Johnny Quest".

This children's show has some serious swank! Even the narrator is all Sinatra-ish. I can just imagine the direction.

"You, you're the dad. No, no, you're using too much inflection in your voice. And you, you're the daughter. Keep looking at the treasure because that's what you do when you don't want people to steal something. And you, you're the bad guy. You're Mexican. or Filipino. Or Melanesian or possibly Indian. I dunno. You're something. And all the rest of you, just make some words up. Look, what am I, Berlitz? All languages sound like booga booga to me, just say some gibberish. Oh and be sure and act like you're mentally handicapped. You're not one of the white characters. Okay, that should do it. We're gonna take one in five minutes right after I finish my martini."
