i had to quit after the hip to the hop "my name's ______"

i'm going to go way out on that damn limb and assume this guy is an anus.

Cena_mark - 2015-08-28

Ha ha! White people who know nothing about hip hop yet try to mock it always start their flows with "My name is". I recall a video with a Fox News bimbo trying to flow.

It's a parody of Rapper's Delight, Cena. While that precise construct was not present in Rapper's Delight, RD did make heavy use of self-introductions, and at least one of the rappers (Master Gee) used the phrase "my name is" (albeit in a different context).

Also, both MC Chris and Eminem have used variations on that cliche - and they know A LOT about hip hop.

GUYS, HEY GUYS. DOES ANYONE KNOW A GOOD RHYME FOR "AND I'M HERE TO SAY."

Cena_mark - 2015-08-28

At least in this guy's defense it was still the 80s, however I doubt that Fox News lady knows the history behind it, nor does she have an excuse doing it in this decade.

"not last night but the night before..."

TeenerTot - 2015-08-28

Jesus fucking christ.

How great was it to be a straight white guy in the 80s, huh?
