Yeah I wouldn't stoop it to Snowpiercer levels, but it is a great film.

I haven't seen Snowpeircer yet but I've seen enough to know that the art direction and cinematography in Runaway Train is way better.

For me, Snowpiercer ended up just a big disappointment, which is probably an unfair personal emotional bias against it. The cast, story and early action in the film had me hoping it was going to punch through the typical sci-fi-pocalypse genre. In the end, it just didn't do much for me at all. Maybe I need to give it another watch, but overall it felt poorly paced and predictable.

It didn't look interesting to me but the Red Letter Media guys seem to like it so I'll give it a shot at some point.

I didn't catch that he did Tango and Cash!

Siskel is kind of right about the dispatch office scenes not being up to the same level but I don't mind that much. I'd still put this movie in the same class as Serpico and The French Connection.
