Besides that there should be a comma between the "Lon Chaney Jr." and "Psycho" tags, you may want to add a "Sid Haig" one too. (Has Rob Zombie ever said if he's a fan of this film or not? I wouldn't be surprised if he is.)

Binro the Heretic - 2015-07-06

I know I screwed up on the year, but I swear I had a comma after Lon Chaney Jr. Maybe the period at the end of "Jr." screwed it up?

I always thought Lon Cheney Jr. was just a part of a Warren Zevon song! Speaking of songs, Lon Cheney Jr. sung that song at the beginning! So cool!

If you like that song you might like to check out Haunted George. I never really got where he probably got his inspiration from until just now. Fantastic stuff!

Also it's a bit off topic, but Spider Babies rock!

Also sorry for misspelling his name. :)

I met Jack Hill about 15 or so years ago at a local video store signing thing. I had him sign a Switchblade Sisters poster and a promo photo for Spider Baby. He also gave me an original one-sheet for Coffey which, much to my shame, I have no idea what happened to it once I took it off my wall to move some years back. Nice guy with a good sense of humor. This was back when most of his movies were being re-released by Quentin Tarantino under his "Rolling Thunder" imprint and, of course, in typical Tarantino fashion, the re-releases had his picture and name all over them so a lot of stupider people thought he somehow had something to do with making them.
Hill was polite about it and avoided making any real comment on them, but one of the people at the event jokingly asked if he would sign a new poster for Spider Baby as "Quentin" which he kind of knowingly nodded his head over.

this movie RULES ALL

I have no idea why I thought of this movie out of the blue the other day, but was delighted to find it online.

Chaney also sings that theme song, by the way.

Thank you for posting this. I would have sworn it was here all ready.

Does it have the body of a spider, but the mind of a baby?

Binro the Heretic - 2015-07-06

Mind of a baby; yes. Body of a spider; no.

She suffers from a congenital form of mental illness that runs in her family. It's caused child-like mentality and homicidal tendencies. She's obsessed with spiders and likes to pretend she is a spider by catching victims in a "web" made of an old net and "stinging" them with a pair of butcher knives.

Boomer The Dog - 2015-07-06

Spider Baby shown often enough on local B-movie program It's Alive by hosts the Professor and crew in the 2000s, which was the first I'd seen it.

Boom

Great movie, and this may be the best print I've ever seen! The VHS tape I rented in 1992 was beyond shitty, yet I was happy to find it!
