Its funny when they're like, I'm moving to .. Oh wait the US is one of the most religiously devout developed nations in the world.
They should go join IS, they too want to create a state founded on a religion which has the same god as judeo-christianity. They have a lot in common really.
You know, I used to believe that people who looked at contrails and saw alien nano secret gubment hallucinogenic reptile piss spray and people who looked at gays and brown folk and saw their own oppression and demons somehow did so from different vectors of perception.
I no longer do.
A large swath of humanity seems to possess an inability to parse the reality coming into their conscious minds through their senses. I think this is worthy of scientific study. I call it the "2+2=5 instinct." Some kind of mutation away from the standard animal capacity for strong induction. I would suspect it to be the norm and the ability to reason the possibly unorthodox way of seeing the world, but we'd have gone extinct in the trees.
This was detailed in the cartoon "Courage the Cowardly Dog", about a dog to whom every tiny change in the status quo (for example the arrival of the mailman) is perceived as an apocalyptic threat emanating from the depths of hell, and the people around him are too dim to perceive the danger.
Apparently it's jumped species, to sufficiently cartoonish humans.
