I could be getting my Bill Hicks and Penn confused; Hicks did everything under the sun over the years but ended on LSD and nicotine, and advocates drugs that are right for you, but I'm pretty sure it was Penn and he was talking about how he did coke. My family never had "cable" when I was growing up but the cable company would do the one month free offers which my parents reluctantly agreed to because we were getting good grades. It was one month straight of nothing but 90s CC and Nickelodeon, and then right back to PBS and a UHF Fox station that would only come in part of the time. I think my 90s favorites were TV Funhouse, and at least earlier Strangers With Candy. But when MST3K was around, I don't remember much else besides Back To School being on like 5 times a day, and then really lame standup.
