Can we just coin the baby boomers as the worst generation right now?

Old_Zircon - 2015-05-29

Nope, because the generations that are coming up with scams like this are even worse.

Well, infra-red treatment does seem to work for pain relief (as per your link)

And this is just an over-engineered/hyped/priced infrared flashlight.

The basic premise is there (and infrared LEDs).

The other buzzwords, sensors, technobabble and magical lasers they claim to use are what I'd call bullshit on.

betabox - 2015-05-29

The amount of IR you can get out of a bunch of LEDs and a battery pack is far less than what you'd get by shining a 60 Watt light bulb on your joint.

SolRo - 2015-05-29

yeah, but then holding a 60watt bulb on your skin might have side effects

betabox - 2015-05-29

Yeah, that's why I didn't recommend putting it against your skin. For less than 0, you might be able to buy some sort of light fixture that would hold the bulb for you.

Or, you know, you could get a sock full of rice and microwave it -- that'd heat up your knee too.

There's a difference between something being overpriced and something being snake oil, learn to tell that difference before you spaz out

You could probably just slap some carbon nanotubes on there, put the Matrix on BluRay on your TV, drink some yoohoo and just chill.

Not sure where the yahoo thing is comming from, never liked the stuff
