And this is just an over-engineered/hyped/priced infrared flashlight.
The basic premise is there (and infrared LEDs).
The other buzzwords, sensors, technobabble and magical lasers they claim to use are what I'd call bullshit on.

betabox - 2015-05-29 The amount of IR you can get out of a bunch of LEDs and a battery pack is far less than what you'd get by shining a 60 Watt light bulb on your joint.

Or, you know, you could get a sock full of rice and microwave it -- that'd heat up your knee too.
