Their sultry bedroom eyes always bothered me.

Punky Chips Ahoy suffered crippling spinal injuries when the Weetabix crew stomped him in the circle pit at a Blitz show.

eatenmyeyes - 2015-05-17

Yeah, the Weetabix don't fuck around.

divinitycycle - 2015-05-17

All the stars for you :)

Stopheles - 2015-05-18

The Duchy Originals have their razor-toed oxbloods on and are ready to drop braces next time they see the Weetabix.

EvilHomer - 2015-05-17

So you guys psyched for PKN kicking Eurovision's ass next week?

Caminante Nocturno - 2015-05-17

If anyone's curious, these Chips Ahoy stop-motion animation commercials were animated by Loose Moose Productions in London and were composited and finished by Edgeworx UK, a post-production house.

http://loosemoose.net/

They even did a few Chips Ahoy stop-motion spots for the US Market.

I feel like I remember this one being aired in the states too, which really made little sense because Oi punk's much more of a sub of a sub genre of punk here than it is over there..

Old_Zircon - 2015-05-17

I always got the impression that oi had a strong neonazi/white supremacist connotation in the states.

sasazuka - 2015-05-17

Well, it's not like the sound is that far off from a Ramones song, like a really toned-down lower-volume-instruments kiddy TV imitation of a Ramones song but still in that general punk lite genre.

infinite zest - 2015-05-18

Yeah folks associate it nationalism and forget about the fact that it was a working class reaction to mod culture (suedehead) and took inspiration from black music like reggae and early ska. The nationalist movement associated with skinheads didn't happen until later. I think most Brits know the distinction, but Americans wouldn't unless they did some research. It's kind of like how I assume Britain observes an American phenomenon like hip hop and assumes it's all about drug dealing and gun violence.

EvilHomer - 2015-05-18

Speaking of punk, you guys ready for PKN-vision tomorrow?!

http://fav.me/d8tun9v

I'm doing my part, how 'bout YOU?

EvilHomer - 2015-05-18

Woops, dupe

EvilHomer - 2015-05-18
