So that's what Malcom Mooney was doing in the 1970s.

Old_Zircon - 2015-04-02

FACT: Malcolm Mooney lives in Dorchester and earns his living as a professional artist. I was all set to try to get him to do a guest appearance with my band until I heard some of his current music.

I guess if you like slam poetry over bad hip hop beats you might like it. How the mighty have fallen.

Delay 1968 and Monster Movie are by far my favorite Can albums.

Forgot the stars.

Yeah. I got Monster Movie solely based off the album art when I was in high school; I hadn't even heard of more "mainstream" kraut rock like Kraftwerk yet, nor did I know the term. Can't remember if I liked it at first, but it grew on me. What's weird is I was driving around at work today and heard Father Cannot Yell on the radio. Don't think I've ever heard that song unless I was the one playing it.

Why haven't Micronauts gotten a revival yet? They were like Bionicle before Bionicle.

They had a comic book from Marvel and it didn't suck! There was even a decent crossover with the X-Men!

I had the X-Men crossover as a kid and the thing that struck me about it is that the Micronauts in the comic in NO WAY matched the Micronauts toys. At all.

So, to this day, I still don't know what they were trying to sell little kid me. Plus, that crossover was in the mid-80s and hadn't the Micronauts died out as a toy line by then?

I might have had some Micronaut toys as a kid but I didn't know what the hell a Micronaut was then and I still don't.

Micronauts rule. My favorite was combining Baron Karza with Andromeda to make a giant evil mecha-centaur. Made the Star Wars figures seem lame by comparison.

Man that music is some serious fuzz rock. That's the kind of thing you play after getting blazed up and you need something to fill the space in between listening to Sleep and Pentagram.

ROCKS
