I hope that this is activated by Operation Dead Hand, just as the mutually assured self-destruction nukes start flying, the dust clouds slowly dissapating into a grey and lifeless orb, slowly and surely winding down until the drives themselves are halted by the lack of electricity.
Appropriately, one of the related vids is the same 8 drives doing the Attack on Titan theme, which is more technically impressive but less nightmare inducing. Being eaten by a giant robot's got nothing on robots that have mastered the classics. In the human slave camps this will be on 24-hour loop, or however many hours their newfound colony has in a day..
Musically, "TANK!" worked really well with this format of~ an ensemble? You can kind of tell you get the the best tones out of these drives in that beefy mid range that covers your horns and cello but not much in your highs and lows. This raises the question; which archaic format made the best low and high end respectively?
Why aren't people getting in to this seriously, making resonation boxes and stuff for these? Some of that stuff already sounds kinda like a cello, it wouldn't be that far to get controlled resonation and record that stuff with a good microphone!
