I was one of those idiots who bought a "REAL" 3DO after they dropped the price by hundreds of dollars, and I still have a Crystal Dynamics infomercial CD that came with it. If memory serves it was a bunch of people out in nature in a drum circle and then the guy's like "I'm bored. Let's play 3DO." Did we really come off as so cliche? I bought it mostly for Gex but there were some OK FMV games, including that driving game with the cheesy FMV with the MST3K-style commentary on top of it. And I'd still give my left nut to see Dueling Firemen completed. Literally, I don't need it. I had vasectomy. Happy new years.
Like seriously, Steve Albini and David Yow in the same video game? They're as cool as they were now as they were when I was a kid, right? Let's kickstart this bitch.
Songs About Fucking and 1000 Hurts are two of my favorite albums ever, but as a recording engineer he's pretty hit-or-miss. Spiderland wouldn't have been Spiderland without him, but Yanqui UXO would've probably been better without..
I really love how up until the 2000s these companies' advertising divisions didn't have piles of cash to burn on multi-million dollar Hollywood-clad promos yet so all their advertising was done on a shoestring budget like this.
