"Testosterbones"

Old People - 2014-12-09

The sad part is, a generation or two ago no one would have been masturbating to this.

Also, in the related videos, "Goth Fitness" is pretty damn good.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2014-12-09

I think a lot of people would have masturbated to this. They were closet furries back then. Most of the time they would have to just get their kicks where they could; Tom and Jerry, dog shows, the occasional Lassie film.

Progress, my friend. Progress.

tesla_weapon - 2014-12-09

My stars are for progress.

Before Homer gets here, I'll see if I can find the triggers, maybe he can add more.

Bodybuilding/muscle
Furry/costuming
Anthropomorphism
Transformation by science
Little people/midget
Unmasking
Puppy play/bondage
Tail growth
Animal overlords

There have been Furry types for a long time, Furry is just a car crash name for a social scene made out of all kinds of ways to relate to other animals in a more personal way.

I've known people who were drawing anthro Dogs in the 1960s and finding them attractive, before they knew anyone else like them, or who felt something from shows like Kimba The White Lion earlier than that.

There are stories of people relating to each other as animals even earlier, and Jack London was supposed to be huge on the subject of wolves. Did he want to be a wolf-Dog? Some authors who have looked at his life believe so.

Lassie was great, I'd watch them on TV after school, a big majestic tricolor Collie, who wouldn't like her/him?

Ghost stars for "relate to animals in a more personal way".

Oscar Wildcat - 2014-12-09

Stars for the fact that while there is nothing new about bestiality, there is always a novel way to sublimate it.

Boomer The Dog - 2014-12-10

It does make you think, if you like creatures with animal characteristics mixed in, does that mean you're attracted to animals?

Most Furries would say that anthros are creatures that don't exist, so it's all fantasy anyway, or that anthros can talk and have Human intelligence levels, so Human and anthro are equals in a relationship.

Could Furries be closet Zoophiles? Most don't seem to see it that way, even though in Furry, anthro could be considered an orientation in itself.

People against bestiality would be horrified to be attracted to anything with a non-Human being in it, yet Furries celebrate that.

Zoophiles don't seem to like anthros, they're more into real animals, but some Zoos love them as another way to enjoy their animal and dream a bit.

Maybe the Furry Revolution is not a joke..

That's a great list, Boomer! This video definitely is an explosion of fetishes, and I'd wager that the guys at Adult Swim know it.

While I don't have the studies available onhand, I have heard that the rates of self-reported zoophilia are markedly higher within the furry community than within the general populace at large. Outright zoos are still a minority (significant, but a minority), and the question could be asked as to whether zoos gravitate towards furrydom, or whether furrydom encourages and produces zoos (similar to the age-old debate about whether magical girl anime is a symptom, or a cause, of pedofork behavior), but the really important question would be whether or not anthro fetishism is the same as zoo fetishism.

From a strict, dictionary definition ("zoophilia is sexual attraction to non-human animals"), anthro fetishism would indeed qualify as zoophilia. However, from a strict dictionary definition, you could argue that catgirl, elf, Twi'lek, or even perhaps cyborg fetishism counts as zoophilia, too!!! I think perhaps zoophilia is a term that has become hopelessly outdated; a descriptor that may have worked back in the pre-internet age, but nowadays human perversity has become too baroque and nuanced to be handled with such a simple word.

If the Inuits have fifty words for snow, then surely it would make sense for Americans to have fifty words for "wanting to bugger something non-human".

EvilHomer - 2014-12-10

"Did you know, Kayuqtuq, that in the Southern lands, they have only one word for snow, but three hundred words for fucking-an-animal...?"

Bort - 2014-12-10

"It is said that the White Man can masturbate to every part of the animal."

Boomer The Dog - 2014-12-12

Hi Homer, it's all in there, you're sure to find something to please anyone, especially musclefurs, like the costume, it's common to see images of 'built' Furries on art sites.

There have been studies done, mostly through surveys of Furries, and Zoophilia is not uncommon, though I'm not sure if it was broken down between a simple love for another species, or a sexual attraction or not.

Whether or not Furrydom produces the Zoos, or they're attracted to the scene because it's animals, I think it would be both. With the Zoos I've known, it's like other sexualities, in that it was something they could trace back to knowing about at a young age, so I think for most Zoo Furs, it was more of an awakening than Furry making them that way. I don't know any who have found that they were Zoo after seeing it on line.

I think some Zoos have issues with anthropomorphizing animals, because the natural way the animals are is what the Zoo likes, and it's kind of offensive to have to give them Human characteristics to make them better or more sexy.

Other Zoos, or the Zoo-interested, just want to be around anything that's animals, or the animal they like, so they fit in with what Furries are interested in. That would be almost a must if the animal you're attracted to isn't accessible, as in, if you were attracted to a whale for instance.

As for the survey again, it could even be that Zoos self-report more often because being in Furry, they were forced to deal with the issue out in the open and acknowledge what they might be.

That's where Kate Bush's song 50 Words For Snow comes from then, I hadn't thought about that.
