I just keep picturing this as an alternate universe where only men are judged for their looks, are completely talked down to and applauded for things like well, ridiculous talent competitions and swimsuits. I mean, this kind of drives home just how fucking stupid beauty pageants are. I hope.

As long as there's scholarship money that's not being wasted I'm fine with it. Bodies are bodies and talents are talent. You put me on the stage? "Uhh.. I'm lanky and I have a nopack and can play bassoon. Wanna see me play pinball? has my torso completely blinded you yet?" This isn't a show I'd watch any more than Miss America, and as a guy with my bodytype I feel the same about these muscular dudes as most girls feel about Miss America. Oliver's initial point about objectivism (which came back at the end) is a shadow in the face of a bigger issue. That being said, Mr. Bulgaria got robbed. He put the Bulge in Bulgaria.

The primary objection was that the biggest provider of scholarships for women in the world is a fucking beauty pageant.

That, and I don't think there's even *nearly* as much social stigma against men who don't work hard to look good as there is against women who don't.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2014-09-30

I would say that's less true than before. I've known a number of men, both straight and gay with self esteem body issues. When you look at movies and how masculinity is linked explicitly with being strong and muscular, the map is changing in terms of what men feel is expected of them.

It's even more pronounced in the gay community. Trust me on that.

crap I'm tired and five starred myself. I guess now I'll have to show myself in a swimsuit. Which is gonna result in a lot less stars.

The Great Hippo - 2014-10-01

Fair enough; I have little to no knowledge of gay communities, nor other communities where men are expected to maintain a certain level of beauty.

But I still think it is fair to say that a woman in the US is much, much more likely to be punished (verbally or otherwise) for being 'unattractive' than a man.

@ROUS : I too long for the day that women are acknowledged and rewarded for doing important things, like throwing a ball through a hoop and standing over 6'5".

Pretty sure this is organized by Hot Desert Knights for a later release post-event gangbang video.

"Mr Daterape 2013". Also really Canada? Really?

Jet Bin Fever - 2014-09-30

I'm fine going to drag shows and love gay culture. That said, this made me incredibly uncomfortable. There's this underlying uncomfortable, closeted gay vibe under this that makes it so much worse. Just bring them out in little tight pants and angel wings already, you're not fooling anyone.

oddeye - 2014-09-30

You could probably do that and it would still be spun like you are offering a modern retelling of classical depictions of angels and shit.
