I really liked legend of grimrock. It showed how very unrealistic contrived mechanics (4 people joined at the hip only being able to move orthagonally) can make for an excellent game.
The game mechanics of 'eye of the beholder' and such were obviously influenced by the technological limitations of the time but also they just *worked*
I was totally convinced it ready "Grimlock" and watched the trailer and didn't really understand. Then I read your comment and, though, "wait, it doesn't say Grimlock?" So I scrolled up and read it again as Grimlock. Then I read it again letter-by-letter and, OH!, it doesn't actually say Grimlock. Huh.
