Seems like a cool world I wouldn't want to ruin. I'll prance on this dirty one instead. Leave that one alone.

Caminante Nocturno - 2014-08-09

What mad world is this where apples fall from trees of their own accord??

SolRo - 2014-08-09

One with gravity?

Xenocide - 2014-08-09

Newton invented gravity AFTER the apple fell on him, dummy.

Until then, things only fell at the whim of God, or the occasional telekenetic supervillain (a major social problem in 17th Century Cambridge.)

Xenocide - 2014-08-09

With nothing else left to him, Spike goes through the motions of his old life, trying in vain to convince himself that nothing has changed.

Each episode consists of him having one-sided conversations with a pile of leaves he calls "Rarity." Meanwhile, just out of focus in the background, Twilight's old shotgun sits temptingly on the shelf. There's one shell left. Spike knows that it can only be so long until he can no longer resist its call. But he won't do it yet.

He'll hold off until the climax of a big musical number.

Caminante Nocturno - 2014-08-09

If any of the Mane Six would own a shotgun, it would be Pinkie Pie.

EvilHomer - 2014-08-09

AJ would own the shotgun. Pinkie would have a grenade launcher. Twilight doesn't need firearms, because she's a member of the ruling class, and her interests are secured by the force of the state, and by the vast socio-economic gaps that arise from the alicorn's hereditary magocracy.

She probably owns a katana, though!

BiggerJ - 2014-08-09

A set of fencing swords, most likely.

Cena_mark - 2014-08-09

At least leaf Rarity won't manipulate and use him.

Xenocide - 2014-08-09

In retrospect, the shotgun owner should have been Granny Smith. She bought it after she heard a Zebra moved into town.

EvilHomer - 2014-08-09

Rapture, or Discord?

Pillager - 2014-08-09

Glue Factory.

BHWW - 2014-08-09

My Little Pony:FIM without My Little Pony:FIM...just a blank void where MLP:FIM should be. What a wonderful world to contemplate.

exy - 2014-08-09

Stop it stop it stop it

EvilHomer - 2014-08-09

Ooooh, precious! It's OK, exy, it's just a joke. The ponies didn't really disappear. They're still there. They'll come back.

http://youtu.be/jBU0jiJQzN4

See? All better.

exy - 2014-08-09

When they do, will you please talk about them in the other room?

EvilHomer - 2014-08-09

You clicked on a pony video, and you're upset that people are discussing ponies in it?

exy - 2014-08-09

Actually, I clicked a ponyless video in the hopes of finding something interesting.

Sputum - 2014-08-09

There is nothing interesting about this.

exy - 2014-08-09

It might have been worth a 2nd star if some fan had done this but then it turns out it's a fucking commercial.

EvilHomer - 2014-08-09

It does seem like the sort of thing a fan would do, but I think the fact that it's a commercial makes this even better! You get a great sense of just how culturally aware the show's creative team is, when they do something surreal and playful like this. It reminds you that the show is made by real people, people who are just like us!

exy - 2014-08-09

I hope for the sake of humanity that this is an elaborate troll job.

infinite zest - 2014-08-09

Someone at Hub Network probably said "have you seen 'Garfield Without Garfield?'" And that was that. Still, I like the reference. Speaking of, I don't watch the show on Hub; maybe this was answered somewhere else, but have they attempted any tie-ins with A Brony Tale?

Sanest Man Alive - 2014-08-10

A cute clip, but I really wanna see an actual episode done like this. Forget "Garfield Minus Garfield", this is more like taking the Pokemon out of Pokemon.

...Wait, has that been done yet?

Jet Bin Fever - 2014-08-09

Nothing of value was lost.
