Of all the old hair metal bands, Skid Row was probably the best, maybe second best if you count Pantera's later offerings. Motley Crue was pretty decent, and Whitesnake had Steve fucking Vai, but Skid Row was just solid all round.

Old_Zircon - 2014-06-10 I had an early moment of musical awakening when I watched the timer on my CD player and confirmed that except for one power ballad, every song on Skid Row's first album was the same length and had solos and bridges in the same spots, give or take maybe 15 seconds tops.
Their second album was a bit better.

roofle - 2014-06-10 Slave To The Grind is definitely a classic album, but I enjoyed their self titled just as much.
Also time was not kind to Bach after this was filmed.

Old_Zircon - 2014-06-10 I'm not a Vai fan in particular. I respect him in much the same way that I respect Phish for having their own distinctive artistic voice, it just happens to be a voice that I find pretty annoying.
