Kinda related, but the place I'm staying at has cable and Cartoon Network's like always on.. when I got home there was this weird CGI Batman at like 3:30 in the morning. It's weird. Their bodies look deformed, like emaciated-thin. Looked kinda cool though with good effects besides the weird bodies. TAS was my favorite show when I was a kid.
Yeah I didn't even know they had Toonami anymore, just that they showed some anime. I guess it's good that it's back (even though I never liked that robot,) but I kind of liked going from something like ATHF to something more "serious" like Cowboy Bebop then back to Birdman.. it's nice to mix things up.
I remember hearing somewhere that in the 1989 Batman movie, in the scene at the beginning where batman is holding the mugger over the ledge and he asks 'what are you?', the original line was something cheezy like 'I am that which lives in the night', or somesuch dramatic nonsense. Michael Keaton didn't like the line, so he just replaced it with 'I'M BATMAN!!!!'. Tim Burton liked it so they kept it in.
