Down the road from me, a neighbor got it into his head to take out all the blackberry bushes from a field adjacent to the road. He filled in with dirt, and proceeded to park cars on it. This spring, when the rains came, a nice lake developed in the road. It filled to capacity, then overflowed the road and ran down my neighbors driveway. Great flooding in his garage ensued. This happens now everytime there are heavy rains, a rather common occurence here.

For you see, where you find great clumps of caneberries, there you will find water at least, and likely an underground stream or wetland. Pave that over, and you get Wildcat Lake come the rainy season.

Ironically, our opinions on the subject are discounted because we're the "city slickers" and what could we know about the subject. That is OK by me, so long as the damage is limited to their properties.

Actually, Evilhomer, you are incorrect on your assessment of the relations of culture and nature. Let me refute you point by point.
Your first point is that the urban, upperclass lifestyle depends upon, and is more ecologically destructive than the very rural, working class people that it despises for despoiling the environment. I have three things to say to this;
First: haha had you going there for a second didn't I?
Second: do even you know when you're trolling anymore?
Third: ponies are dumb. This is proven by science and logic. Mother nature abhors a pony. Also Sailor Moon and stuff is gay.
