Actually, our history is stuff like the Powerpuff Girls and Teen Titans. We had nothing to do with this crap. Think of the first three Generations of Ponies as Native Americans and the Friendship is Magic Ponies as white colonial settlers; Lauren Faust showed up, colonized their land, and drove the original Ponies into extinction. Sure, we live in the same land, fish from the same streams, gaze out at the same sky. But that's it. For 99% of FiM fans, that's where our connection to the Elder Race ends.

It's actually a major point of friction between lame old school bronies and fans of the new show, which is legitimately awesome. The old school fans feel that the rest of us aren't sufficiently connected to the decades-old traditions of Equestria, and you know what? They're right. We're not, and that's a good thing.

I've never herd of these old school bronies. They actually think fans of MLP:FIM should connect with the previous generations of pony? Those guys are nuts.

I estimate at least half of the parasprites here on PoeTV are old-school Bronies, in the stable or out.

I was trying to come up with an analogy like Evilhomer's but evil homer said it best. Mine was Batman: You might be boners for Nolan's (or Burton's, the kickass TAS series) but you'll probably choose to forget about the in-betweeners: It's a franchise. These things happen with a franchise.

The only pony thing I like is the old movie, because I found the smooze and the witches entertaining as a kid. I watch it again every now and then for nostalgia purposes.

I came in here to make the same joke except about the pie eating contest.
