I enjoyed this clip, and always thought Spelljammer had neat ideas, but that shit sold 3 copies. What was the expected audience for this production?

It's a miracle TSR lasted as long as it did before purchased by WotC

I often describe evil cataclysmic events with the phrase "Woah, boy!" too.

When i was a kid I had some D&D lite board game, it came with a really corny video featuring these guys, and some Christopher Lee type 'dungeon master'. Some of that video winds up in these clips. I remember thinking it was really funny that whenever they were running around in a dungeon, their shoes made sounds like they were on a basketball court.

Little details like that betray the whole atmosphere of a scene, undermine the credibility of a production and make it harder to suspend disbelief, which sucks cause that's my main way of fighting illusions and finding hidden doors and shit.

That board game would be Dragon Strike.

There's a VHS of Dragon Strike like 6 feet from me RIGHT NOW. I wish every movie was like this.
