With Ophelia, you have options:

Redhead, Brass Automoton, Flesh Golem, or Vampiress.

FABIO - 2014-03-11

The lady skeleton bartender has pumpkins stuffed down her shirt.

Caminante Nocturno - 2014-03-11

The elf girl is pretty moe, or at least as close to moe as a Western game can get, but there's something about that skeleton girl that gets my joints a-poppin'.

This game is actually totally alright. The marriage thing is a little awkward, but it's done mostly for laughs. The basic structure is you play risk on a big map, do an RTS segment for any attacks or defense or territories and then have Starcraft 2 style conversations back on your ship and make choices for social policies, like allowing people to unionize or ban gay marriage, and that pleases or angers your advisers, which pledge assets to your Risk and RTS segments. The arranged marriage is part of the adviser appeasement stuff, and follows it's own storyline. For example, you can put the skeleton girls soul in a Frankenstein body or sacrifice your Elf wife to a demon ritual.

It's totally nuts, but enjoyable.

Stars for the music, sounds like a made for cable erotic thriller from 1993.

bottom left hand corner.

fucking Aida.

FABIO - 2014-03-11

Really regret spending on this.

It's a cruddy RTS meets a cruddy game of Risk meets this video, and most of the conversations aren't as good as this. The RTS and Risk portions would be crummy even as free flash games.

You realize after a while that none of the political stuff matters. Your political support doesn't come into play at all during auto-battle, and it only affects your max army size which is never a bottleneck.

It doesn't even work thematically. It presents itself as "idealism vs pragmatism" where you might have to compromise on the morally correct action in order to appease the Randian capitalists or religious bigots, but it pussies out there. Choose the moral high ground, and the bigots will be upset initially, but next turn they always come back telling you how they've seen the light and how totally right you were everyone should hug and get along now.

They also forgot to disguise most of the satire, so it ends up coming off a game cowritten by Reddit and Tumblr. It really gets uncomfortable when it gets to gender equality and gay rights (which comprise of half the total choices), because it always present the ruthless draconian SJW response as the morally correct choice. Your lesbian general is a perfect flawless being, and if you don't support her vigilante murder spree against anyone publishing hate speech, you're a monster! Your lizard princess wife is a judge and can become either an evil inquisitor or an enlightened humanitarian, and the humanitarian path is the result of you telling her to eliminate due process and burden of proof in cases of rape!

Just watch the youtube long plays for the conversations. The gameplay itself is really, really bad.

FABIO - 2014-03-11

Oh yeah, the highpoint of the game!

You can sacrifice your wife to a demon for (shitty) resource bonuses. You can then marry a new wife and do it again. And again. The dialog is hilarious and everyone gets more and more disbelieving as your wives continue to mysteriously disappear.

Think I'll go submit that video!
